PEGAZUS: Hard At Work On New Material
June 28, 2005Australia's PEGAZUS have issued the following update via their official web site:
"At the moment the band is still hard at work writing new songs for the forthcoming PEGAZUS studio album. We have recorded three new songs as demos and so far all is sounding really great! I think you guys will be just as excited as we are with the new stuff… it's sounding KILLER! We plan on recording a few more songs as demos over the next month or two and then we will start looking for a new record deal.
"There's been so much going on behind the scenes over the past few months. Some things have been unfortunately unavoidable and have delayed the schedule to start recording the new album, which has now been pushed back to September, which could still be OK for a possible end of year or early 2006 release.
"The great news is that, finally after 12 months, we have secured a reliable Australian label to release the 'Pegazus – Live! Thunder Down Under' 2CD. Battlegod Productions is a great organisation and through them, the double album is now readily available to all fans worldwide. The official worldwide distributor is Twilight Distribution from Germany. The album is now released and available to all fans to buy and order from your local heavy metal store or directly from Twilight's website mail order service at: www.twilight-vertrieb.de.
"Also, nearly completed is the band's forthcoming first-ever DVD release. This in itself has taken a few months to work on as there was like well over 30 hours of band video footage from the archives to watch and compile stuff from. The DVD is going to feature loads and loads of footage spanning the past four-year period of 2000 to 2004, starting with when vocalist Rob Thompson joined the band. An interesting look inside the recording studio during 'The Headless Horseman' sessions. The making of 'The Headless Horseman' video clip, as well as loads of outtakes and behind the scenes footage before, during and after live shows, including some of the actual live show where the 'Pegazus - Live! Thunder Down Under' album was actually recorded. We start the final editing stage in a couple of weeks and we plan to have the DVD ready for worldwide release in August. This will also be officially released by Battlegod Productions and Germany's Twilight Distribution.
"The band's next live show has just been confirmed for late July. It's on Friday 22nd, July at the Central Club, 293 Swan St, Richmond. It's a great four-band lineup in support with WASTED GENERATION, GRIMLOCK and the FIVE VENOMS. Looks to be a wicked night, so put that one down on your heavy metal calendar!"
